Lizzette M. Francisco

Lizzette M. Francisco is a managing partner with a focus on workers’ compensation law. Mrs. Francisco specializes in catastrophic injuries, complex compensability claims, intoxication defense, and exposure cases. In addition to workers’ compensation cases, she also handles related matters involving fraud, Medicare Set-Asides, and subrogation claims.

EDUCATION:
Mrs. Francisco received her undergraduate degree from Florida International University in 1989. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Miami in 1992. During law school, she was a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and completed her trial advocacy program as a certified legal intern at the State Attorneys’ Office in Miami.

BAR ADMISSIONS & PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS:
Mrs. Francisco was admitted into the Florida Bar in 1992. She was also admitted in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 1995. She is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar, the Cuban American Bar Association, the Miami Dade Bar, and the American Bar Association. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Miami Lakes Bar Association.

NOTABLE CLIENT WORK & EXPERIENCE:
Mrs. Francisco has defended the interests of state and local government agencies. She has also represented educational institutions, utility companies, and National Self-Insured Employers doing business in the State of Florida. She has handled hundreds of cases involving employers in the construction and manufacturing industries. A majority of her work has been devoted to defending claims filed against PEO’s.

Mrs. Francisco is Fluent in Spanish and enjoys traveling with her husband.
